If you want to present a topic at this Drupalcamp, here is some information to remember:
Format/Procedure
3 conference formats are possible:
- 20 minutes: ideal for the presentation of a discovery or a first conference.
- 40 minutes: You can cover more details and go deep into your thinking.
- 2x40 minutes: To get your hands fully involved in the subjects, it sometimes takes time. This duration will be preferred for workshops / training.
New this year: a room will offer content only in English. You can submit your topic in French only, in English only. But if you are comfortable in both languages, let us know, we will probably be able to adjust the program even more easily.
About what?
For this Drupalcamp, we are looking for technical conferences but not only, proposals on related topics such as methodology, tools, team life, introspection on our professions will also be valued.
Also, don't hesitate to offer conferences for people who would discover Drupal as well as people who are more advanced in their practices. Drupal has brought many people with sometimes singular backgrounds in its wake. We want to hear your ideas through your eyes.
Call for Papers
- The call was open until February 22 inclusive!
- The choice of conferences will be made during a collegial vote by the organizing team.
- Following this choice, the rejection or acceptance of your conference is signified.
- Once all the conferences are planned, we will share with you the detailed program of the event.
- If your proposal is of good quality but cannot be accepted due to lack of space in the program, we will ask you if you will agree to prepare it as a replacement conference.
- If your talk cannot be given at Drupalcamp, you can always present it in a meetup.
- Travel and accommodation expenses are not covered.
- A 3-day pass for Drupalcamp is offered if your conference is selected (1 pass per subject, even if there are several speakers).
- Being a sponsor does not entitle you to a conference.
Calendar
- Call for Papers opens on 22 January.
- Call for Papers closes on 22 February.
- Follow the program.
Recommandations
- The time of a conference can go by very quickly, avoid (too) long digressions that would not serve your purpose.
- Schedule a video-recorded demo in case a live demo fails.
- Introduce yourself to the organizing team at the beginning of the half-day of your conference.
The D-Day
- A person from the organization will introduce you as an introduction to your conference.
- Except for training, make time for questions in the last 5 to 10 minutes. It will be possible to extend the conversation in the corridors or behind the main stage.
- The audience changes rooms between two conferences, please start and finish on time out of respect for the other people who will be speaking.
- The conferences should be recorded in audio version and the main room would probably be captured on video.
Technical constraints
- You can use your computer or provide us with your support in advance for us to project.
- Bring your own HDMI adapter (especially if you have a Mac ;-)).
- Your support will be requested to be distributed on our post-conference site in PDF format. You are free to use any format you want: video, presentations, PDFs, images, etc.
- You must respect the licenses for the use of the projected media. We will provide you with a presentation template including a frame with the identity of the event and sponsors. Please include them in your presentation. At least the cover.
- Your proposal does not have to be entirely written by generative artificial intelligence, we favor original content.
- If you wish to present a material made by another person or take over another person's conference, please mention this and make sure you have the authorization to do so.
