Created in 2009 at DrupalCon Paris, the Drupal France and Francophonie Association aims to bring together the entire profession, to promote and accelerate the dissemination of Drupal in French-speaking countries. She is the official representative, in France, of the community that develops and publishes the free free software Drupal. She ensures and coordinates the translation of Drupal into French. It is in this capacity that its volunteers regularly organize meetings around Drupal and its ecosystem. The association's website drupal.fr.
An international and local influence
The most recent highlight of the French community was the hosting of DrupalCon in Lille held in October 2023. It is a global event alternating between America and Europe twice a year. During this conference, more than 1500 people from all over the world came together to share about Drupal. In 2015, we also hosted the European event of the Drupal Dev Days, a week of very technical meetings. It was an opportunity to make French gastronomy shine! Years later, many participants still talk to us about it.
Last year, we held our last bilingual event in Perpignan. Francophone and Catalan were invited for 3 days of Barcamp. More locally, Drupal users and contributors meet in a few Drupal cities from time to time during the year. You can search our Meetup group for meetings in the city closest to you.

After Paris, Lyon, Montpellier, Lannion, Rennes, Perpignan, the Drupalcamp Grenoble 2026 is the new project of the association. This project is carried out by a dynamic team of volunteers around the association's office.
